A 47-year-old Grand Bahama man was found stabbed to death in his home early on Tuesday in Freeport, pushing the homicide count for the year to nine on the island.
#The victim, believed to be Dwayne Stirrup, was found dead in a bedroom and his wife, a public school teacher, is assisting police with their investigations into his death.
#Inspector Terecita Pinder of Grand Bahama Police said a woman who lives at the residence is assisting police with their investigations.
#The murder brings the total for the year in the Bahamas to 87 according to The Tribune's records.
#The man shot and killed last week in Grand Bahama has been officially identified 46-year-old Edui Phillips, of Coral Gardens. Phillips was shot in the Caravel Beach area last Thursday. He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to Rand Memorial Hospital, where he died shortly before 3am on Friday. Investigations are continuing.
